GariLynn WollardPresident: GariLynn is President of HDI Los Angeles Local Chapter and Senior Manager for Entertainment Partner’s Technology Transformation Office.  The Technology Transformation Office is responsible for increasing employee engagement, improving client focus and increasing innovation time by creating highly productive, self-managed teams.  She is an Information Technology Leader with over 12 years of experience managing people in fast paced environments, specializing in business relations, compliance, as well as call center and project management.  She holds a BA degree in Computer Science from the University of San Diego, but decided to go the technical support route instead of the software engineer route, giving her over 24 years total IT experience dedicated to customer service, helpdesk, desktop support, system administration, and end-user training.
Jeff Livonius – Vice President of Membership: For almost 20 years, Jeff has specialized in technology talent solutions in Southern California for companies spanning a wide array of industries, sizes and types.  He currently serves as AVP, Director Strategic Account for Robert Half Technology leading deliverable based IT solutions to key partner clients.  As an executive for two of the largest staffing and recruiting companies, and spearhead of new markets for multiple small firms, Jeff has excelled and won awards in a variety of roles from Recruiter to Recruiting Manager, Account Executive to VP of Sales, and ultimately Branch Manager to Managing Director.  Jeff received a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Texas, and started his career in information technology as a Project and Change Manager for Bank of America.  Jeff brings a storied collection of talent and staffing knowledge to HDI Los Angeles. Jim Sherwood – Vice President of Finance: Jim is a Manager of Enterprise EDI Technical Operation at Anthem.  With over 20 years of IT experience, his current responsibility include management of 3 Services Desks in the EDI and E-Baseness space where he and his teams serve hundreds of thousands users.  A native of Los Angeles, Jim was educated at Pasadena City College in pre-hospital care. Jim is also a retired firefighter.  In his off hours, Jim is involved in a number of volunteer activities giving back to his community almost every weekend.  He is also an avid gamer, loves music and from time to time engages in on-line DJ activities. Jim is married to his wife Patricia, they have one son and 3 amazing grandchildren.
Joe Cruz – Vice President of Communications: Joe is the Service Desk Manager for Entertainment Partners located in Burbank, CA.  He manages a Service Desk staff of 11 supporting approximately 1100 internal users across the country.  Joe has been working in IT in some capacity since 1993.  He was Director of IT and Support Operations for The Institute of Reading Development, the nation’s largest private reading school.  Joe is a native Californian born and raised in the San Fernando Valley.  He attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo studying Business Administration.  Joe has 3 ITIL certifications as well as HDI certifications – HDI Support Center Analyst and HDI Desktop Support Manager.  He now lives in Valencia, CA, with his wife, two children, and their dog.
Devin Martinez – Vice President of Content Relations: Devin is the Global Service Desk Manager at Jacobs Engineering. With over 65,000 customers around the world Devin leverages his IT Service Management skills to bridge the global divide. Over the course of 18 years, Devin has worked for companies such as IBM, SwissAir and Yahoo in several different support roles helping to bridge the global divide.  A native New Yorker, Devin grew up in the South Bronx where he discovered his love for computers in 1980s on a TRS180.   Devin went to State University of New York at Plattsburgh for his undergraduate.   During that time he was VP of the student government and represented students on the Technology Committee that was tasked with wiring the residence halls with coaxial and digital phones.  Devin holds a Masters in Management with a concentration in IT from New York University Polytechnic Institute.  Upon finishing his studies he moved to Los Angeles in 2002 where he spends lots of time enjoying the great weather year round!  When not at work Devin can be found on a plane headed to a trip somewhere in the world.

Willem Varkevisser – Vice President of Programs: Willem is the Sr. Territory Executive for Compucom Systems. For over 20 years Willem has focussed on solving business problems with technology solutions. Using a consultative approach, focussing on business value, and strategic client initiatives to drive true value. Willem started his career at IBM in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, right out of college where he graduated with a Bachelor in Engineering focussing on Management of Technology. IBM transferred him to Costa Mesa, CA to support the growing Services Sales team, set up the international support teams, and grow the local solution design center into an international practice. After 18 years at IBM he moved to Electrosonic (Global Audio Video System Integrator) where he became the General Manager for North America. Managing the Service, Support and Projects teams. Four successful years later Willem moved back into IT when CSC asked him to join their new IT Service Management practice and a more recent move to Compucom to represent the SoCA territory. His wife, three kids and two dogs keep him busy after work with church, soccer, family events and road trips.

Eric Kinsey – Vice President of Vendor Relations: Eric is a Sr. Partner with Crescent Solutions in Los Angeles where he heads up the sales efforts across the country.  Eric has sold technology staffing and recruiting solutions for over 15 years; aligning these strategic solutions with the clients’ overall business goals, leading to several awards along the way.   Originally going to college for Marketing, he switched his focus to technology and received a BS in Management Information Systems from California State University, Chico.  Upon graduation, he accepted a role at Teradyne where he provided IT Support and Programming.  To put himself through college, he owned and operated a Holiday Lighting business.  It was one of his clients who capitalized on his entrepreneurial spirit and recruited him into the Technology Solutions business.  Two years later Eric helped lead the way to winning the “Office of the Year” award for the $1 Billion company.  When he’s not working, he spends a significant amount of time with his two children and volunteering his time to the homeless and coaching youth sports.  

Lance Kidd – Vice President of Special Events: Lance has over 20 years of experience leading IT teams across multiple disciplines, including service desk, cybersecurity network engineering, and application development. He concentrates on using ITIL service strategy to drive customer satisfaction while harmonizing the work of technology groups.  Lance has worked with organizations including NIKE, Bank of America, and most recently The Cheesecake Factory.  He has led help desk and incident management teams in support of manufacturing, financial services, and restaurant operations.  A transplant from the Northwest where he chaired the Technology Association of Oregon’s IT Managers Forum, Kidd knows how to inspire creative alliance by coordinating timely special events.  A deep advocate of continuing education, he has been an Adjunct Professor of Technology and Business with George Fox University and Portland Community College.  His passions include science, art, acting and music.  Lance and his wife are long time singers with the Northwest Community Gospel Choir.
